Henry County Public Transportation 

Henry County Public Transportation (HCPT) is operated by Abilities Plus.  HCPT serves the transportation needs of residents in Henry County, as well as Stark and western Bureau Counties.  The system uses seven 14-passenger vans and seven 5-passenger minivans.  All vehicles are handicap accessible.A 14 passenger vehicle is used to carry a large amount of pasengers

Rates
Please note that all trips must begin or end in Henry County.  Payment due at time of service and correct change is required.

5 passenger minivans are used for most in-town trips  -  $2.00 per trip traveling within the same city limits in Henry County.
  -  $3.00 per trip traveling outside of a city limit beginning or ending within Henry, Stark, or western Bureau Counties.
  -  $2.00 per transfer after first trip within the same city limits.


Day Trips
Trips to destinations located outside of the HCPT area will be determined by periodic suveys of the general public.  The rate for these trips will be $7.00 per trip, per person.

Office hours are Monday through Friday, 8 a.m. to 5 p.m.  Normal hours of operation are Monday through Friday 7 a.m. to 5 p.m.  To schedule a ride, call (309) 854-RIDE.  24 hour notice prior to requested trip is recommended.  No rides may be scheduled through voicemail.

What is Demand Response?
Demand response is transportation by appointment.  Anyone needing a ride should call at least 24 hours prior to the time they are requesting transportation.  All rides will be based on driver, vehicle, seat, and funding availability.

What is Curb to Curb Service?
Curb to curb service requires HCPT drivers to pick up and drop off all riders at the curb of the destination.  This system is in place to ensure the safety of all riders.  Drivers are not allowed to leave the vehicle unless they are operating a wheelchair lift.
